"Valentine Day Crafts"

Make that special person feel truly appreciated with a Valentine day personalized gift you’ve created with your own two hands and a lot of love.

Valentine day crafts include everything from hair ties, headbands and scarves, to napkin holders, slippers, purses, and jewelry. Many of the free patterns on my website may be easily converted to suit this occasion simply by working them in the appropriate colors.

Wherever you are in the world, whether the climate is cold or hot at this time of year, there is many a unique gift idea to choose from which will be suitable for that special person.

The Rose motif shown above has many applications of it’s own.

Make a purse, bag, or wallet from one of my many free patterns in red or black and decorate with this motif. Make a plain scarf like my knitted scarf or Christmas scarf pattern in red or white and work a rose on each edge. Slippers, hats, tops, sweaters, shawls and rugs may all be enhanced with this beautiful rose.

It may be attached to a hair tie, or to a pin and worn as a brooch, or as it is shown above as a napkin holder.

The headband shown below could be worked in one color and then decorated with one or more rose motifs.

The napkin ring shown below will make your romantic dinner even more special.

This warm winter scarf may be worn by a man or a woman. What a unique gift idea!

My heart shaped purse shown below is right into the romantic spirit. The motifs that make up this design are useful on their own as decorations. You may add sequins or beads to this coin purse if you wish.

When you’ve created your gift, wrap and finish it off by tying a decorative bow around it.

If you would like to learn how to crochet quickly and easily, my “CROCHET MADE EASY” e-book gives complete step by step instructions and photographs to help you master this beautiful craft, along with tips and information on caring for your finished projects so you may have years of enjoyment from them.
