"Purse Crochet" The different styles in purse crochet are only limited by your imagination! Whether you would like a drawstring design like the women's handbag shown below, or a beaded clutch as pictured above, it’s not hard to make your own.  All the styles shown here are large enough to hold the essentials for a day or night out - compact, lipstick, tissues, cash, credit card. The black beaded design may be used just for coins and dropped into a larger tote if you want to carry a larger bag. All patterns are worked in synthetic yarn so they are hardy and will keep their shape. My pink flower pattern shown below, is suitable for an adult and also as a child’s accessory. The length of the twisted cord shoulder strap would need to be adjusted to fit a child. Little girls just love shoulder bags!  The beading worked on the three designs shown here is done using a sewing needle and thread. These are good beading design patterns for a beginner to start with. They will get a feel for beading and become comfortable handling and attaching them in a very short time. Metallic beading can transform a daytime pattern into a sophisticated evening bag. Monogramming is a great way to personalize your creation. There are matching coin-purse patterns for the designs shown here, coming soon. They make a very cute set.
