Keep yourself or a loved one warm this winter with my free crochet shawl pattern . It is not a complicated pattern. Unlike some projects where you have to constantly refer to the pattern, this one is easy to pick up and continue with whenever you have a spare few minutes.
My free crochet shawl pattern is worked in 8ply synthetic yarn, so grows fairly quickly. It has a decorative crochet edge. If you would like an alternative to this crochet edge pattern, tassels or fringing gives a very romantic finish to a crochet shawl pattern.
There are a couple of ways to wear my free crochet shawl pattern. Simply drape it around your shoulders evenly, or lap one edge over your shoulder like a crochet scarf, having the longer edge at your opposite side and catch it with a favorite brooch as shown in the photograph at right.
If the terminology used in this pattern differs from what you're used to, check my equivalency tables for easy conversion.

If this wrap was worked in black or white, think how striking a sunflower motif on the bottom corner, or a row of smaller sunflowers placed just above the border, would look. This is a great Christmas or Valentine's gift if worked in the appropriate colors.
