"Flower Scarf"
The white flower motifs used to create this wrap are simple to make. As well as the floral pattern, they produce a beautiful lacy effect. A lace scarf worn over a winter blouse or plain sweater is a very stylish elegant look. It may also be draped over a couch as decoration. This lace scarf is suitable for a beginner or experienced crocheter. It takes very little time to complete and makes a stunning gift. Floral motif Materials: 100g ball white 8ply synthetic yarn, 5.00mm crochet hook. Measurements: 168cm [66.25ins] long, 26cm [10.25ins] wide. Stitches: Chain, Slip Stitch, Treble, Double Treble, Triple Treble, Cluster, Double Crochet. Tension: First 2 rows – 4cm [2.25ins] Begin by working 6ch, join with ss in 1st of 6ch to form a ring. 1st Round: Work 3ch, 15tr into ring, ss into 3rd ch. 2nd Round: Work 4ch, 2dtr into join, leaving last loop of each dtr on hook, yoh, pull through all sts [cluster made], * 10ch, miss next st, 3dtr cluster in next tr. Repeat from * finishing with 10ch, ss into top of 1st cluster. Work next flower motif as above to *, 5ch, dc into 10ch loop on 1st motif, 5ch, miss next tr, 3dtr cluster in next tr, 5ch, dc into next 10ch loop on first motif, 5ch. Finish as 1st motif. Join 3rd motif to next 2 10ch loops on 1st motif. Join 4th motif to 3rd motif and 2nd motif, so that pattern forms 2 parallel lines of motifs. Continue in this manner until you have joined 26 motifs. Do not fasten off. Work edging as follows – Work 8dc into 10ch loops, 1dc into top of clusters, 4dc into 5ch sps. Fasten off. Fill in Lace Working from back of lace scarf, work 1dtr into each joining loop, ss in top of 1st dtr. Fasten off. Pin out and press flower scarf with warm iron.
