"Christmas Gift Idea"

Here’s a great Christmas gift idea, and a great way to avoid the before Christmas nightmare - make your own gifts.

This Christmas scarf is just one idea, but it is a very versatile holiday gift idea, suitable for everyone from Granddad to small child. If the scarf is for a child, just shorten the pattern to suit.

You may even make the pattern different for each friend or family member by varying the amount of contrasting rows grouped together or by decorating them with different Christmas motifs and edgings.

If you leave out the green sections, this makes an excellent Valentine's gift.

There’s a multitude of Christmas gift ideas to choose from if you spend a little time and browse my site - a nice afghan picnic blanket, afghan bed rug, bedspread, afghan crochet rug, or ripple afghan, just to name a few!

If the terminology used in this pattern differs from what you're used to, check my equivalency tables for easy conversion.
